Hsinchu City (新竹市) is the windy city of northern Taiwan. It is mainly known to outsiders for its technology park but there’s a great many historical and cultural attractions strewn around the city that should appeal to travelers with an interest in food and history. Administratively it is divided between North District (北區), East District (東區), and Xiangshan District (香山區).
