Established by a famous pastry shop in 1982, with cinema halls on the fourth and fifth floors of a newly-built commercial building. The location right next to the Hsinchu Chenghuang Temple was very advantageous to its business. It was renovated in 1993 and subdivided into four halls. Another round of renovations in 2012 brought it up to modern standards, and it continued to operate into the 2020s as the last second-run theater in Hsinchu City. Finally it announced its closure in February 2025.
