Samut Prakan is a province in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region located southeast of the capital at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River. Established in 1946, it has a population of approximately 1.38 million and serves as an important industrial and economic hub with significant manufacturing operations. The province is home to Suvarnabhumi Airport, one of Asia’s busiest airports, located in Bang Phli district.
