Hsinchu Observatory (新竹觀測所) - Spectral Codex

A Japanese colonial era weather station located in Hsinchu Park (新竹公園). It was built in response to the devastating 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung earthquake and was also a seismic monitoring station. After the war it continued to be used for its original purpose until 1991. Since then it has been recognized for its heritage value and integrated into park facilities.
