An early post-war school founded in 1955 as a branch of what is now Jianhua Junior High School and established on this site in Hsinchu in 1958. The music classroom (音樂教室) near the front gate, a freestanding modernist building of 1967 with a sawtooth plan and sculptural reliefs on its façade, has been recognized for its heritage value.
