Two semi-detached wooden houses completed in the 1930s, during the Japanese colonial era, and used after the war as police dormitories until fairly recently. They are the last residences of their kind left in this part of Hsinchu and were registered as a historic building in 2016, with restoration beginning two years later. As of 2024 the space is occupied by a vegetarian restaurant and a small museum.
