The earliest filial arch constructed in northern Taiwan, completed in 1824. It honors Yang Juniang (楊居娘), who was widowed at 24 and raised her children alone. This arch is one of four preserved in Hsinchu, and all the others are modelled on the design of this one, the oldest and most readily accessible of the lot.
