A modernist building beside the Hsinchu moat, originally funded by the Hsinchu County Slaughterhouse Merchants Guild (新竹縣屠宰商業同業公會) and once used as lodging for military personnel on official travel. It now serves as the office of the Hsinchu Livestock Merchants Guild and the Hsinchu Military Friends Society (新竹軍人之友社).
