Wàndān (萬丹) is a rural township in western Pingtung, originally Makatao territory and one of the earliest Han settlements on the Pingtung Plain. Wanhui Temple (萬惠宮), a Mazu temple dating to 1756, is the township’s main religious center. The Wandan Presbyterian Church (萬丹教會), established in 1896, is one of the oldest in the region.
