Chunri

Chūnrì (春日) is a mountainous Indigenous township in southeastern Pingtung, homeland of the Paiwan people. Tjuvecekadan (老七佳部落), a heritage-listed settlement preserving dozens of traditional stone slab houses, is among the best-preserved Paiwan villages in Taiwan. The area around Guhua Village retains several military installations spanning the Japanese colonial era and post-war period, including World War 2 era tunnels beneath Longzhu Mountain (龍珠山). The historic Jinshuiying Ancient Trail (浸水營古道) traverses the township from west to east.
