Xīnpí (新埤) is a rural township in central Pingtung, part of the Liudui (六堆) region. The area is home to both Hakka and Makatao communities. Several World War 2 era fortifications survive in the farmland, including anti-aircraft gun forts and bunkers around Fenjihu (糞箕湖). The heritage-listed Yuhuan Catholic Church (玉環天主堂), built in 1965 with river stones by local parishioners, stands in the nearby Yuhuan New Village.
