A red brick mansion built by a branch of the Chen family in the village of Shepi (社皮), Wandan, Pingtung, in 1929. The Chen family traded under the firm name Yamato (大和) during the Japanese colonial era. The building is arranged around a two-storey neo-Baroque core with symmetrical Minnan-style wings on either side. The ground-floor arcade preserves vibrant majolica tile work and painted panels depicting scenes from the Three Kingdoms and folk legend.
