A Western-style mansion built in 1935 by Li Shixin (李士新, 1864–1936) of the Li Dong (李棟) family, whose Taihe Trading Co. (泰和商號) grew wealthy through rice and sugar wholesaling in the twilight of the Qing dynasty era and into the Japanese colonial era in Wandan, Pingtung. Long misattributed to the more prominent Li Nan (李南) family, the building was eventually identified by local historians as the work of Li Shixin. It has stood abandoned for decades and is now overgrown and near collapse.
