Approximately a century old and still providing a place of rest and shelter for idle moments.

A rare example of a 1920s teahouse and rest stop for people riding narrow-gauge handcart railways deeper into the mountains. Funded by a public subscription led by Gan Chengzong (甘承宗) of the Yuandong Gan family, it was completed in 1926 together with the stone-arched Dongning Bridge (東寧橋) and a small stone shrine to Tudigong. The area under the bridge adjacent to the pavilion is also the site of a traditional laundry (洗衫坑) still in use by townspeople. Threatened with demolition when its privately held land was put up for sale in 2016, it was designated a county monument the following year.
