A railway station on the Neiwan Line (內灣線) in Zhudong. It opened in 1947 as the terminus of the Zhudong Line (竹東支線), the first branch railway built in post-war Taiwan, completing a project begun in the Japanese colonial era to carry timber and minerals out of the rugged interior. The single-storey brick and timber station house was adapted from colonial Railway Department plans, with an entrance finished in a vaguely Art Deco manner and an interior that retains its original ticket window, stationmaster’s office, and safe. It was registered as a historic building in 2010 and remains in service as the highest-grade station on any TRA branch line.
