Sanxia Shinto Shrine (三峽神社) - Spectral Codex

A mid-sized Shinto shrine was in planning since 1936 and under construction in the early 1940s but never completed in Sanxia, Taiwan. Wartime material shortages made it difficult to finish and by the time of Japanese surrender it hadn’t been inaugurated, though it was apparently nearly complete. The site was later developed into what is now the Yuanshan Sports Field (鳶山運動場), an open area with tennis and basketball courts as well as a small skate park. A short section of retaining wall near the stairway leading to the courts might be the only physical remnant of the original shrine.

The wall next to the stairway might be part of the aborted construction effort.

This likely bears no relation to the original shrine at all. Perhaps this timber trio is a reference to the name of Sanxia, literally “Three Gorges”?
