Established in 1777, this is the primary Mazu temple in Fengyuan (豐原媽祖廟). It gives its name to Miaodong Night Market (廟東夜市), literally “east of the temple”, for it runs along the alleyway immediately next to the temple. Although not listed as a heritage site the statue of Guangong (關聖帝君) is a registered antiquity.
