A company housing complex on Nanning Road (南寧路) built during the Japanese colonial era by the Nanpō Cement Company (南方水泥株式會社) for engineers and staff at the adjacent cement plant. It was later used as employee housing by Taiwan Cement (台灣水泥). Besides wooden dormitories, the grounds held a guesthouse (招待所), club (俱樂部), clinic, meeting hall, shop, barbershop, and sports facilities; the two-storey wooden guesthouse and several dormitories still stand. In 2024 local historians applied for heritage status, hoping to preserve some of the remaining buildings, which are overgrown with weeds and falling apart due to neglect. It is sometimes referred to as Nanpō Cement Company Residential Area (竹東南方水泥株式會社社宅區) in official documents.
