Zhudong Shinto Shrine (竹東神社) - Spectral Codex

The former top-ranking shrine in Zhudong, then known as Chikutō, established in October 1942. Much of it was partly demolished in the post-war tumult and converted into what is now Zhudong High School (竹東高中). The original torii and some other larger relics of the shrine remained on school grounds until at least the late 1970s but nowadays only some stone lanterns and the ablution basin can still be found on campus. It was classified as an unranked shrine (無格社).
