A stately residence built by pharmacist Chen Maotong (陳茂通) in the Mihashichō ward of Taipei in 1933. It was formally known as Red Leaf Garden (紅葉園). In the post-war era the mansion changed hands several times, and moving into the 2000s it was converted into a high-end Taiwanese restaurant, Shanhailou (山海樓). In 2017 it was earmarked for cultural preservation but the landlords proposed moving the entire structure to the nearby Kangle Park (康樂公園). This proposal was voted down by local residents and the mansion was dismantled in 2018. According to the landowner the pieces are presently in storage at the Zhengda Nylon Factory (正大尼龍廠) in Xizhi, but for all intents and purposes this building is now demolished.
