An exterior view of the old residence in 2018.

An old residence completed in 1926 next to a former riverside port in Xizhi. An embankment constructed over subsequent decades raised the ground level so the first floor (and entrance) are now hidden below ground. On the left side of the old residence is another owned by Chen Jin (陳金).
