A modest church in a corner of Taichung Park.

Established in 1952 with a the name personally inscribed by Chiang Kai-shek. It is located at the northeast corner of Taichung Park (台中公園). The congregation dates to 1949, when the Evangelize China Fellowship (基督教中國佈道會), a Shanghai denomination founded two years earlier, sent Shen Baoluo (沈保羅) to establish its first church in Taiwan; the fellowship has worked mainly in Taiwan and Hong Kong ever since. It first met in a former Japanese church building on Taiping Road before breaking ground here in 1951, holding the dedication service on February 24th, 1952. The walls are red brick and tile laid without steel reinforcement, and a renovation in 2020 opened up the ceiling to find the hinoki roof structure intact.
