Thomas Barclay Presbyterian Church (巴克禮紀念教會) - Spectral Codex
Thomas Barclay Presbyterian Church (巴克禮紀念教會)

Established in 1903 by Scottish missionary Thomas Barclay and rebuilt in 1926. The name is written in Pe̍h-ōe-jī (POJ) script over the front entrance. The land across the street was purchased a year later and Elisabeth Memorial Church (伊莉莎白紀念教堂) was constructed. The back of this smaller church preserves bullet holes from US air raids in World War 2. It is also known simply as Tainan Dongmen Church (台南東門).
