One of the earliest centers of Guangze Zunwang (廣澤尊王) worship in Taiwan, founded in 1718 by Guo family dockworkers at the mouth of Nanhe Harbour (南河港) in the Five Channels (五條港) district. Originally known as Fengshan Temple (鳳山寺) after its parent temple in Nan’an, Quanzhou, but renamed in 1916 to complement an association of Tainan temples identified by cardinal directions. The current building is the result of a major restoration completed in 2018, during which the ruins of the old Nanhe Harbour (南河港) were briefly resurfaced. Located directly across from the Wind Temple (風神廟).
