The red brick Liuyuan Presbyterian Church (柳原基督長老教會) was constructed in a distinctive Gothic Revival style during the Japanese colonial era. Originally established as Dongdatun Mission Station (東大墩佈道所) by British Presbyterian missionaries in 1898, the current structure was completed in 1916. It was registered as an official historic building in 2002.
I am a web application developer, photojournalist, urban explorer, and history enthusiast passionate about the open web and documenting my experiences on this planet. This project was founded in the early 2010s and has evolved into a sort of personal Wikipedia of places that interest me (and often the photographs I’ve taken there). I’m originally from Toronto, Canada, but spend most of my time residing in Taiwan.
