An upscale hotel established in 1978 by businessman Chen Jingtang (陳敬堂), president of the Taichung City Commerce Association, and designed by Taichung artist Wang Shui-ho (王水河). It featured a basement swimming pool, upscale Western restaurant, and the Huaguo Hall (華國廳) nightclub. Financial difficulties in the late 1990s led to its closure. The building was auctioned off in 2008 and reopened as Futai Orange Hotel (福泰桔子商務旅館) in 2010. It was purchased by a construction company in 2022 and demolished over the course of 2025 to clear space for a 27-storey luxury residential tower.
