The former residence of the chief of police in Dahu in Japanese colonial times. It was constructed in the aftermath of the devastating 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung Earthquake. More recently it was registered as a heritage property in 2018. As of 2025 it appears as if it might still be occupied, and in any event isn’t open to the public.
