Completed in 1929, this was the administrative center of the township of Sanxia. In the post-war period it continued to serve as the town hall until 1986. Later it was repurposed for use as an elderly activity center. It was recognized for its heritage value in 2018 and now operates as the Sanxia History Museum (三峽歷史文物館).
