A wooden single-storey Japanese dormitory built around 1900 for the stationmaster of Yuanshan Station on the Tamsui railway line (北淡線), and one of the few structures from that line still standing. It has weatherboard and wattle-and-daub (編竹夾泥) walls beneath a Japanese black-tile roof. Registered as a historic building in 2010, it sat vacant on Jiuquan Street in Datong, Taipei, before being rented out as a Japanese oden restaurant in the mid-2020s.
