Qīdǔ (七堵) is the southernmost and largest district of Keelung in northern Taiwan. Historically significant as a transportation hub, the district developed around the railway junction where the main trunk line meets the line to Yilan. This strategic location fostered Qidu’s growth as an industrial center, particularly after Taiwan’s economic transformation in the mid-20th century. The district features a mix of urban development along the railway corridor and mountainous terrain in its southern reaches, with the Keelung River flowing through its northern section.
