Established in 1742 by immigrants from Quanzhou, this historic temple is dedicated to Baosheng Dadi (保生大帝). The basis of the current structure dates from a major reconstruction completed in 1919 during the Japanese colonial period. The complex underwent careful restoration beginning in the 1980s after a period of residential use in the post-war era. It is now designated as a national monument, making it one of the most significant temples in Taipei.
