Nanchang Guangzhou Temple (南廠廣州宮) - Spectral Codex
Nanchang Guangzhou Temple (南廠廣州宮)

A temple dedicated to Sanping Zushi (三坪祖師) rebuilt into a two-storey structure in 1977. It is mainly notable for having an unusual bird deity on the altar, a Great Peng Bird (大鵬鳥), likely a manifestation of the Hindu deity Garuda (金翅大鵬鳥), said to be the mount of Sanping Zushi. During spirit medium sessions the bird reportedly descends first, causing the medium to emit hawk-like cries and spread their arms like wings.
