Tainan Prison Director’s Residence (原臺南刑務所長宿舍) - Spectral Codex

A Japanese-style wooden residence built for the director of Tainan Prison in 1930. It was one of several structures remaining on the north side of the now-demolished prison in the early 2000s. After years in limbo the building’s cultural status was reorganized under “the wooden buildings of the former Tainan Prison” (原臺南刑務所木造建築群) in 2020. Nowadays it seems likely restoration efforts are in progress.
