Built in 1800 during the Qing Dynasty, this stone archway commemorates Xiao Liangniang (蕭良娘), who remained chaste for forty years after her husband’s death at age 27. The archway represents Taiwan’s only surviving double-pillar, single-bay chastity memorial and is one of just four remaining stone archways in Tainan. It features inscriptions praising Xiao’s devotion to her deceased husband and dedication to raising their two sons.
