Established around 1958 as one of four golden age theaters operating on Zhonghua Road (中華路). It was also known by its English name, Five Continents Theater. Previously there was a soy sauce factory on this site. The original theater building was demolished, likely in the 1980s, and rebuilt into a commercial building (中華巨星大樓) that housed a cinema of the same name for a while. Out of business in the 2000s at the very latest and presumably renovated, since the building is still in use.
