Tai’an Railway Station (泰安車站) - Spectral Codex
Tai'an Railway Station (泰安車站)

The former Tai’an Station (舊泰安車站) was decommissioned along with the rest of the Old Mountain Line (舊山線) in 1998. Since then the site, along with a variety of historic relics, have been preserved as Tai’an Railway Cultural Park (泰安鐵道文化園區). The original wooden station house constructed in 1910 was destroyed in the Hsinchu-Taichung Earthquake of 1935. It was rebuilt in 1937 as the reinforced concrete structure still found on this site today. Also of interest is the Taichung Line Earthquake Monument (臺中線震災復興紀念碑) which commemorates the reconstruction of the railway following the 1935 earthquake.
