Tuchang Station (土場車站) was the terminal station on the Luodong Forest Railway Line (羅東森林鐵道), which was active from 1926 to 1979. It was a transfer station for onward travel along the Taipingshan Forest Railway (太平山林業鐵路) and collection point for material sent down from the high mountains. In more recent decades it was briefly the ticket booth for entrance to Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area, but as of the mid-2010s it is idle and unused along with the police station next door. There are some old trains on display in this area including Luodong Forest Railway No. 1 Steam Engine (東林鐵1號蒸汽機車) and the Zhonghua Express (中華號特快車), which used to provide passenger service along the line until it was abolished.
