Houbi Railway Station (後壁火車站) - Spectral Codex

The northernmost railway station in Tainan, originally opened in 1903 as Houbiliao Station (後壁藔停車場) on the western trunk line. The original wooden station was destroyed by the 1941 Chiayi-Zhongpu earthquake (中埔地震), and the current station house was completed in February 1943. It is one of around a dozen surviving Japanese colonial era wooden station buildings. Designated a historic building in 2005 and still in use.
