A large residential building at the corner of Jinzhou Street and Xinsheng North Road, formerly the Times Hotel (時代大飯店). Two major fires in 1984 and 1996 left 21 dead and earned it lasting notoriety, compounded by a 2010 double death and a string of suicides that media coverage amplified into a self-reinforcing cycle. Dubbed “Taipei’s most haunted building” (台北市第一凶宅), the interior retains a hotel layout of narrow corridors and small suites, now home to a mix of long-term residents, ancestral halls, small businesses, and a rooftop temple.
