A temple in the Shuanglian (雙連) area of Zhongshan, Taipei, dedicated to Wenchang (文昌帝君), the God of Imperial Examinations. In modern-day Taiwan students still pray to Wenchang for scholarly success. The temple traces its origins to an image brought from the mainland in the Japanese colonial era and enshrined nearby, with a hall built later on and significantly expanded in 1960. The original structure stood on the route of the Tamsui railway line and was demolished for the construction of the metro; its 1992 rebuilding inside Minxiang Park (民享公園) drew protests over religious use of parkland, though the temple was ultimately allowed to remain. A bronze statue of Gao Shichuan stands in front.
