Originally established as Chong’an Theater (崇安戲院) and renamed after ownership changed at some point. In its later history it was known for showing adult films. It was converted into Guangfu Market (光復市場) and then a branch of the PXmart supermarket chain. As of the mid-2020s it is abandoned once more, but the wet market beneath the theater remains in use.
