A police station in the Shekou area of Shengang, Taichung, first established in 1903 on land donated the following year by local gentry, among them Lin Zhenfang (林振芳) of the nearby Shekou Lin Residence. The surviving structure is an amalgam of a hybrid Japanese-Western style constructed in 1913 and a newer reinforced concrete station house built after the 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung earthquake. For decades after 1982 the old frontage was concealed behind a newer station building. A reconstruction completed in 2024 grafted the restored façade onto a new three-storey block, which displays local history alongside the working police station.
