Puyan Township (埔鹽) is a rural township situated in central Changhua, Taiwan. Originally a plain inhabited by the Indigenous Babuza people, it was settled by migrants from Quanzhou, Fujian approximately 300 years ago. Puyan is predominantly agricultural and renowned for its glutinous rice production, for which it earned the nickname “home of glutinous rice” (糯米原鄉).
