Japanese colonial era railway station established in 1907. It went out of commission when the Old Mountain Line (舊山線) was abolished in 1998. Later it was designated a heritage building, and since then it has become a major tourist attraction in Miaoli. The surrounding area is known for its scenery, mountain cycling, and Hakka restaurants.
