Liujia

Liùjiǎ (六甲), literally “Sixth Acre”, is a rural district in central Tainan named after the settlement system established here by Chen Yonghua (陳永華), one of Koxinga’s most important generals during the Ming-Zheng Dynasty, several centuries ago. It is home to one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan, Chishan Longhu Temple, established in 1665.
