An old cement factory established next to Banpingshan (半屏山) in 1956. Along with the Jiantai Cement Factory (建台水泥廠) to the southwest it mined much of the limestone mountainside over the many decades before being decommissioned in the 2000s or early 2010s. While the plant was being progressive dismantled it attracted the interest of the urban exploration community. As of 2025 it would appear as if most of the original site has been razed to the ground.
