Built in 1966, this was a classic mixed-use building with a market on the ground floor and a theater on the upper levels. The blueprints were drawn up by architect Hsiao Fo-chu (蕭佛助; 1900–1984), who is best remembered for designing a total of seven movie theaters in Greater Kaohsiung around the same time. The theater went out of business in the late 1980s or early 1990s, but the ground-floor market kept trading right up until the building was demolished in 2021.
