A private residence designed by Taichung artist Wang Shui-ho (王水河) with bas-relief sculptures lining several walls of the interior. It was built for a Mr. Chen, owner of a Taiwanese paper company. Although the owners expressed an interest in preserving the building it was a “sea sand house” (海砂屋) built with low-quality concrete and in danger of collapse. It was demolished in 2020 and soon replaced by an apartment block.
