Jingliao Elementary School Auditorium (菁寮國小木造禮堂)

A wooden auditorium on the grounds of Jingliao Elementary School (菁寮國小), the oldest school in Houbi, established in 1911 as Jingliao Public School (菁寮公學校). The auditorium itself was built in 1951 as a brick-and-timber structure in a Japanese architectural style and bears the name Zhongzheng Hall (中正堂). The heritage designation also covers a 1956 wooden office building and a stonewashed flagpole base built in 1931; the iron pole was cut down during the World War 2 for use as munitions material.
