Completed in 1916, this railway station was threatened with demolition in 1988 as the Tamsui Line (淡水線) was being converted for use by the Taipei Metro. It was relocated to the Taiwan Folk Village until 2013 when the new owners donated it back to the city. It was restored and reopened to the public in 2017.
